31 WTF Moments From The Jurassic Park Franchise

17. Eric Survives On Isla Sorna Alone For 8 Weeks (Jurassic Park III)

One of the more improbable if also more dignified JP3 characters is Eric Kirby, the 12-year-old son of Amanda and Paul who, believe it or not, manages to survive an insane 8 weeks on Isla Sorna all by himself without becoming dinosaur chow. Even though the film makes a relatively decent effort to depict him as smart and resourceful (certainly more so than his bone-headed parents), it's still an extremely tough sell, and when the movie makes hilariously vague references to his activities during his time on the island (such as how he somehow managed to acquire a decent amount of T-Rex urine), it doesn't much help. Did the intermediate time period really need to be so long? There's not much reason for it.
