Quite possibly the most unlikeable and irritating character in the entire Jurassic Park series is Nick Van Owen, played with such enthusiastic douchery by Vince Vaughn during his brief non-comedy phase. He commits a number of cardinal sins throughout the movie which make him impossible to like, namely freeing the dinosaurs at the InGen camp resulting in numerous human deaths, taking the baby T-Rex to a trailer which caused it to be attacked, and confiscating Roland Tembo's (Pete Postlethwaite) rifle ammunition that he was going to use to hunt the Tyrannosaurus. Thankfully Nick disappears out of the very end of the movie, but even so, he's one of the many reasons that The Lost World is such a chore to sit through compared to its predecessor.
