32 WTF Moments From The Oscars 2016

15. Chris Rock Interviews Black People In Compton

To further investigate the racial controversy of this year's Oscars, Chris Rock airs a series of interviews he did outside a Compton movie theater, where the majority of the black people he speaks to haven't even heard of most of the year's nominated movies, such as Spotlight, Bridge of Spies and Brooklyn. They've all seen Straight Outta Compton, though, of course. Hilariously, when asking one woman what her favourite white movie was, she namedrops the rancid Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt movie By the Sea, and Rock replies, "Wow, not even they would say that." The segment ends with one woman, who may or may not be high, trying to take an Oscar statuette home, and Rock has to wrestle it from her hands.

14. Mark Rylance Beats Sylvester Stallone For Best Supporting Actor

After becoming the easy Best Supporting Actor frontrunner early on in Oscar season, Bridge of Spies' Mark Rylance began to cool off as Sylvester Stallone started picking up steam for his superb work in Creed. It seemed like Stallone was set to scoop the award, but Rylance managed to stage a comeback and win, much to the disappointment of those who accept that Sly probably isn't going to get an acting nomination again (though we'd all love to be wrong, right?). For Sly, the nomination will have to be the win, in effect.
