13. Louis C.K. Trolls The Best Documentary Short Nominees
Louis CK then comes out to present the Best Documentary Short award, and says that it's his favourite category because it's the one that gets to change a life: everyone else is "coming here winners and leaving millionaires", and he adds that "you cannot make a dime on this. These people will never be rich as long as they live...This Oscar is going home in a Honda Civic...It's gonna give them anxiety to keep it in their crappy apartment." When about to present the winner, Louis even jokes that the winner is Mad Max, after sweeping through the technical fields earlier on. His hilarious presentation of the award has already caused many to campaign for him to become next year's host, which would be nothing short of awesome.
12. The "Accountants" Who Tabulated The Awards
As usual, a moment is taken to recognise the accounting firm, Price, Waterhouse and Cooper, who tabulate the Oscar results every year, but as Chris Rock introduces three representatives from the group, three Asian children instead come out to the stage. Rock then follows up with, "If anybody's upset about that joke, just tweet on your phone that was also made by these kids."
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
