After the bear suit, the goofiness continued as Chris Rock pointed out that music mogul and infamous murderer Suge Knight was in attendance, with an actor playing him while kitted out in an orange prison jumpsuit and straightjacket, and of course, accompanied by two police officers.
22. Emmanuel Lubezki Wins A Third Consecutive Oscar
As was widely expected but no less impressive, cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki won his third consecutive Oscar for lensing, having picked up the award in 2014 for Gravity, last year for Birdman and this year for The Revenant, a feat that has never occurred before at the Oscars. However, Lubezki still needs to win one more to tie with Leon Shamroy and Joseph Ruttenberg for the highest number of lifetime wins. Still, he's barely 50 years of age, so it'd be a shock if he didn't pick up fourth and fifth wins over the next two or three decades. But let's also spare a thought for long-suffering DP Roger Deakins, who lost for the 13th time for his sublime work on Sicario.
