Just when it seemed like the Sharknado invasion was over, the laser beam turned out to have an unfortunate side effect: it sent a bunch of the sharks flying into space, and rather conveniently, directly towards the space shuttle that Fin and April were in, while Gil was on the outside operating the laser beam. As Gil dramatically tells them, "Sharks...in...space", sharks begin crashing into the shuttle and trying to break into the hull. Yep, this is obviously the natural next step for the Sharknado franchise. Amazing.
