4 Reasons To Make Another Hulk Movie (And 4 Not To)

2. Past Reception

Here's the thing - we already know that Hulk movies are risky. The first attempt at a Hulk movie - the one by Ang Lee with Eric Bana - was a flop. It did okay at the box office, but it was critically slammed (not in all cases, but certainly more often that most Marvel films) and the franchise was scrapped entirely as a result. The second attempt - the Marvel cinematic universe movie to which another Hulk movie would be a direct sequel - received mixed reviews (several positive ones, to be fair to it), but is by far the poorest performing Marvel cinematic universe movie at the box office. On that note, with so many other potential movies to be made, why would Marvel go with another Hulk movie? It's too much of a risk and they pretty much know for certain that another Avengers movie, another Iron Man movie or another Thor movie will out-perform it.
