41 Things In Harry Potter You Totally Missed

36. Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall

In The Philosopher's Stone, the inscription around the Mirror of Erised says, "Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi." Reading the inscription backwards, and stringing the words together properly, it says, "I show not your face but your heart's desire." It also makes a brief appearance in Order of the Phoenix, during one of Harry€™s bad dream sequences.

35. We're Just Studying The Theory, Today

Despite Hermione calling Harry a "great wizard," Harry does not cast a single spell during Philosopher€™s Stone. He does practice saying €œWingardium Leviosa,€ but doesn€™t actually accomplish the spell. Incidentally, Ron does say the spell correctly; it€™s Draco Malfoy who doesn€™t. And Hermione appears to say it the same way Ron and Professor Flitwick do when she actually performs the spell.

34. Do You Know Any Jethro Tull?

When Harry, Ron and Hermione go to Hagrid€™s to ask how he acquired Fluffy, he is shown playing €œHedwig€™s Theme€ on a flute. This is analogous to the Cantina Band in the original Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope to all of you youngsters) incorporating the score into the film's action, as both were written by John Williams. Both have become instantly recognizable to their respective franchises.

33. Even Your Photo Looks Guilty, Ron

The magical clock featured in the second movie showing where the Weasley family members has a label marked €œDentist.€ However, wizards don€™t go to dentists or doctors, they go to Healers (like Madame Pomfrey at the Hogwarts hospital wing or St. Mungo€™s). One could assume that Arthur Weasley, who works in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, added the label after meeting Hermione€™s parents. However, that doesn€™t happen until everyone goes to Flourish and Blotts. Mrs. Weasley, Percy and Ginny are at home, but the clock doesn€™t show them as being there. And who is that mysterious floating red head in the top left corner, and what is he or she doing?
