5 Awesome Movie Dads And 5 That Suck

3. Peter, Michael and Jack in 3 Men and a Baby Three Men and a Baby is an eighties comedy classic starring Tom Sellck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson as three bachelors who find themselves head first into fatherhood when a baby arrives on their doorstep. The film is based on the original French title Trois Hommes et un Couffin and has spawned a sequel with rumours of another instalment on its way. We start off not knowing who the real daddy is so we can judge them all equally. The three men seem very unfit for parenthood; they are pretty self-absorbed, they love to party and they enjoy their swanky New York apartment with pretty girlfriends, sweet jobs and a carefree kind of life. The arrival of the baby poses a real problem highlighted when Guttenberg€™s character notices the baby needs changing and he offers 1000 dollars to Selleck if he€™ll do it. The only perk a baby has at this point is lovin from the ladies when they take their baby out to the park. However as time goes by the three dads learn to love their daughter and they develop into reliable paternal figures. There is a scene where Michael and Peter leave the baby alone with Jack so they can go on a double date. They call Jack to check up on him and after getting no answer they panic, ditch their dates and go home to their daughter. Back home they see they€™ve panicked for nothing as Jack was washing Mary in the bathroom and didn€™t hear the phone. At the end of the film, the baby€™s mum comes back claiming the baby again. They reluctantly give the baby back which allows for an endearing chase scene where the men rush to the airport in the hopes of persuading the mother to stay.
