5. Blitz
In order to form a live action Justice League, the Flash is one hero who definitely has to be brought in to the DC cinematic universe. The Flash, Wally West, is a character who is linked to a concept known as 'the speedforce' which grants him the ability to move and think extremely quickly (that's an understatement - he can operate at multiple times the speed of light). He can also 'steal' speed from and 'lend' speed to others. The problem with Flash is that, given that he can move at speeds considerably faster than even Superman, and given that he can use his ability to steal speed from others to effectively turn them in to statues, it's very hard to see most of his rogues gallery as a genuine threat to him. So, in order to introduce him as a beatable hero whom viewers could actually empathise with, he needs to be introduced against an opponent who
is a genuine threat. So, who better than Hunter Zoloman AKA Professor Zoom? Zoloman was once a background character who, through a laboratory accident, became an individual who can slow down the world around him, to the extent that even Wally West is a statue to him, and therefore he's a major Flash villain - and the main antagonist of the
Blitz story arc. Having Wally appear vulnerable is his first outing, but overcoming the odds and defeating Zoloman, would make him more likeable and relatable to audience members who were previously unfamiliar with him. I see that as perfect preparation for a Justice League outing. And the fact that
Blitz is also one of, if not
the, best storylines in Flash's comic book history only helps matters.
