5 Best And 5 Worst Romances In Science Fiction

2. Batman & Catwoman (The Dark Knight Rises)

the-dark-knight-rises-ending I€™m referring to the Dark Knight Rises version of the pair here. Tiny little movie, you may have seen it. Yes? Cool. The first time Bruce Wayne meets Selena Kyle, she introduces herself by ever so graciously robbing him of his mother€™s pearls and scavenging his fingerprints to sell for illegal purposes. Nice to meet you, too, Ms. Kyle. But it gets worse. As we all know by now, within the hour Kyle has sold Wayne out to Bane, and proceeds to watch as he beats him into submission, after which she tries to flee the country. At this point it should be noted that she doesn€™t even know whether Bruce is dead or not, and that doesn€™t seem to bother her all that much. Throughout the film, while Wayne and Kyle maintain a flirtatiousness with each other, it doesn€™t seem that the other is ever a real priority for either of them. This cavalier attitude is demonstrated in full by Bruce when he casually hooks up with Miranda Tate. Selena Kyle, who? How It Ends: Eventually they do seem to come together. Bruce is no longer Batman and Selena is, apparently, no longer a cat burglar. They€™ve given themselves a fresh start, although, even at the very end, neither of them seem to really enjoy being in the other€™s company. Whether or not that relationship crashes and burns shortly after the credits roll is anyone's guess, but I'm inclined to think that it does.
