2. Christopher McQuarrie
First of all, we know that Christopher McQuarrie is very adept at adapting a gripping novel to the big screen. He certainly did the Jack Reacher series justice with his adaptation of One Shot. We cant, however, say the same for the casting choices. McQuarrie has proven that he can craft an original tale out of a seemingly played-out genre. Just look at what his screenplays for The Usual Suspects and The Way of the Gun did for the crime genre. There's no doubt he can come up with something quite remarkable in the world of James Bond. With his latest directorial effort in Jack Reacher, he has also shown that he can direct taut and intense action sequences, with the car chase in that movie being one of the film's strongest and most effective scenes.
