5 Once Great Action Heroes Who Are Ready For Retirement

3. Harrison Ford

Act2 I don't envy those who have to interview Harrison Ford, as it seems for the most part to be something of a Herculean undertaking. The man has played some of the most charismatic action leads of all-time, but out of costume he seems more suited to accounting than archaeology. Nobody's perfect, however, and at least we can still expect fantastic action hero performances from Ford. Oh, wait: that's not really true, is it? Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull marked the beginning of the end for Harrison Ford's action career, given that it's since become the go-to film for mocking and inspiring fanboy rage. Since then, Indy has taken on calmer, more dramatic roles, like his recent turn as Colonel Hyrum Graff in the adaptation of Ender's Game. This is the road he should stick with, but look out ahead... there's a sharp turn a-comin'! Mr. Ford really wants to make Indiana Jones 5. A lot. He tried to have it written into his conditions for appearing as Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII. There are two problems I can see for such a notion in the foreseeable future. Old Indiana Jones seemed like a fun concept until it happened, and I can only imagine that a very niche group of people are craving an aged Han Solo. Only time will tell how these projects will work out, but I'm not holding out any hope.
