5. Cameron Diaz - What to Expect When You're Expecting
It might be a bit of a stretch to consider Cameron Diaz a good actress but she earns at least a little credit for some of her previous work (the first two Shrek films, Being John Malkovich, and There's Something About Mary.) Like Murphy and several other Shrek stars, Diaz has struggled to find good projects with the end of the lucrative DreamWorks franchise. In fact since Shrek 2, Diaz has had none of her wide release films achieve critical acclaim. So What to Expect.. isn't really too much of a surprise. The movie was based on a bestselling pregnancy manual and it features a bunch of insanely good-looking couples that are about to have stunningly beautiful babies. It's a confusing story with too many characters and way too reliant on rom-com clichés. As mentioned earlier, Diaz hasn't really picked many good films lately so this one shouldn't bring her star down much further. It's just disappointing that after showing massive potential earlier in her career, Diaz has now been reduced to being expected to do mediocre work in unimpressive movies. It's definitely a shame and here's hoping that Diaz and the other actors on this list have better luck with the movies they choose to work on in the future.
