5 Great Films Still To Come In 2012

5. Looper

Released: 28th September Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a man employed to kill people sent back in time from the future. Things take an unexpected turn when the person sent back is his future self, played by Bruce Willis. How does Looper not sound awesome? Gordon-Levitt is one of the biggest rising stars after The Dark Knight Rises and it€™s not hyperbole to say Willis is one of the greatest action stars ever. With the beautiful Emily Blunt also on board, Rian Johnson has an opportunity to put his name on the map after little success with his first two films, Brick and The Brothers Bloom. It remains to be seen how strictly the greater laws of time travel will be adhered to, but it€™s logical to expect something that makes the audience work to keep up. It looks like we€™re finally seeing the impact of Inception, with studios OK with financing films that require viewers to think. With Nolan€™s masterpiece and last year€™s Source Code bringing modernity to cerebral sci-fi, Looper could be furthuring a new age where the brains match up to the spectacle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uIWGOKW5OM
