5 James Bond Themes That Almost Were

1. Alice Cooper Is The Man With The Golden Gun

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYwNilmPz24 Yet Johnny Cash's hopeful entry into the Bond theme legacy is not by far the weirdest (or the worst). The most bizarre and unexpected came from horror rock, no more mister nice guy, welcome to my nightmare, I cut my head off on stage, Alice Cooper. Completely unexpected and not at all what producers had in mind, Cooper's version of Man with the Golden Gun got quickly turned down. The irony of it all is that year's later composer John Barry and lyricist Don Black would both comment on how much they both hated the version of Man with the Golden Gun used in the movie. The song, performed by Lulu, features vulgar lyrics and was the only Bond theme to never top any charts in America or the United Kingdom. It was hated most by Alice Cooper, though his version is probably not the answer Barry and Black were looking for either. Like any of these Bond themes? Let us know in the comments section below.
