5 James Cameron Regulars He Needs to Cast in Avatar 2

4. Lance Henriksen

Lance Henriksen, above all else, has an incredibly distinctive look, and it's that look that garnered him the role of the iconic android Bishop in Aliens. Prior to this, Henriksen played the likeable cop Hal Vukovich for Cameron in The Terminator, and is generally best-remembered for playing supporting characters who aid the protagonist in some way. However, that kindness could so easily be turned to menace with Henriksen's unmistakable, deep voice, and given his experience as a voice artist in animated fare, it'd be a mistake not to cast him as one of the Na'vi. Imagine Henriksen as a Na'vi elder, an important tribesman who serves as a leader in the community, and one who Neytiri must consult with. Perhaps he's a former soldier, and near the film's climax, takes to arms, sacrificing himself for the greater good. The actor's expressiveness can be extremely well conveyed using Cameron's sophisticated motion capture technology, giving Henriksen huge potential to forge yet another extremely iconic character. It's clear from taking a peek at his CV that the man likes to keep busy, so if Cameron came a-calling, there's almost no doubt he would be game for the challenge.
