5 John Wick Spinoffs We Want To See
4. The Soup Kitchen
This universe may be a shadow society, but it is not short on luxury. The Wick-verse has been mostly 5-star hotels, high-end art exhibits and tailor-made suits lined with Kevlar. The one exception has been The Soup Kitchen, the gang of vagrants headed by Laurence Fishburne's Bowery King.
In a world of contract killers, most seem to operate individually. At most, there has been a boss with a number of operatives that, more often than not, are on the receiving end of a Wick headshot. The Soup Kitchen is the only band we've seen work collaboratively as a unit with the Bowery King as their lead.
A film or television series centered on The Soup Kitchen would give us a look at a crime syndicate in this world. What are their internals rules, how are members initiated and do they have rivals are some of the insights we would surely receive.
This could also establish the hierarchy within this universe. There is obviously people with greater influence than others (more on that later) and this spinoff would give answers where The Soup Kitchen, and maybe individuals like Wick, place among its social classes.
The Soup Kitchen has been the greatest point of contrast we've seen so far in the John Wick franchise, making them worth further exploration.
