5 Mega-Stars Who Started In Films That Nobody Saw

2. George Clooney - Return To Horror High

It wasn't always glamour and Academy Awards for George Clooney. Oh no. He struggled mightily for many years, having guest spots on TV shows and appearing in low-budget B-movies. He initially started off with Return to Horror High in 1987, a film most notable for being George Clooney first movie role. When we look back on Clooney's extraordinary career, it's doubtful that Return to Horror High is going to be mentioned alongside his Oscar nominated turns in The Descendants, Michael Clayton and Up in the Air, and I'm sure he won't complain about that too much. Given a limited release way back in 1987, Return to Horror High grossed barely $1 million dollars, a far cry from the hundreds of millions his films regularly bring in. Curiously, the film was re-released on DVD around 10 years ago, presumably just for the hardcore George Clooney fans who wish to see everything he's ever done, because there's surely no other reason for this film to be given any more attention.
