5 More Awful Films That Are Actually Really Good

1. Four Rooms

Four ROoms I can see how the disjointed nature of this film could throw an audience off but that's exactly what makes this film great. It's funny, it's weird, it's manic but above all it's highly entertaining. Tim Roth plays the role of the bellboy who has to visit four separate rooms in a hotel with each separate room being directed by a different independent filmmaker. The best part of the film is that each room Tim Roth visits tops the one before it: the first room is full of witches, the second is a hostage scenario, in the third Tim Roth must look after two unruly children and the fourth features Quentin Tarantino and Bruce Willis as movie stars that want to cut Tim Roth's finger off. This all adds up to a crazy mess of a film that is unlike any other anthology you're going to see. On an interesting side note the fourth room, directed by Quentin Tarantino, is actually his follow up to Pulp Fiction since this movie came out before From Dusk Til Dawn and Jackie Brown. My favorite movies are Before Sunrise, Pulp Fiction, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien and Her so don't be surprised to see those pop up in my writing from time to time. I'm currently in school for Journalism/English and I have an obsession with all things cinematic on the side.
