3. Following (1998)
Before he was a big deal, Christopher Nolan made a little indie film called Following. Unrelated to the TV hit of a similar name, Nolan's noir film was made for only $6,000. It follows a young writer who has a penchant for
following strangers around London, attempting to find a muse for his writings. Through the ordeal, he meets a local burglar, gets involved with a sexy but dangerous woman, and maybe even commits more heinous deeds. The Following isn't a perfect film by any means, but as it was made on such a minuscule budget and used a non-linear storyline Nolan would later employ to perfection in Memento, Following is definitely a flick Nolan fans should check out.
