4. Defendor (Defendor, 2010)
Arthur Poppington is Defendor a mentally unstable 40 something man who assumes the identity of a real life superhero after he saves his boss' son from being run over. Thinking he has powers that should be used for good Poppington sets out on a misguided quest to take down 'Captain Industry' - a seemingly fictional heel conjured up by Defendor's over active childlike mind. As useless as Defendor is he's exactly how you'd expect a real life vigilante like him to be in the real world except taken to a ridiculous degree. He is fearless and determined but completely flawed and vulnerable. He's Batman without the budget - an unhinged guy who witnessed his parents death and is out for revenge. The sexy as Hell Kat Dennings stars as his crack smoking, sex working sidekick who takes up his mantel after he is killed. Sadly any chance we had of seeing her in some smoking hot superhero outfit was never on the cards as she continues his adventures in comic book form. Selfish bitch.
