4. Charcoal Steak Raging Bull
Ask most chefs and they will tell you a steak is meant to be eaten rare. Personally, I'm quite happy if it's served with a pulse. And Jake LaMotta seems like the kind of guy who would, too. If only that would allow him to put it out of its misery. Sadly his wife is not of the same thinking, nor is she a Michelin starred chef; or maybe she just takes joy in annoying Jake and transferring her anger on the poor slab of beef. Just as Jake describes it, the steak arrives on his plate with a firm film of grease - that slicks all over the plate that clings to the dry, charred, coal like flesh. "It's a piece of charcoal!"
