1. Wolverine - X-Men 2 And X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Logan actually survives this twice in two different movies and with more on the horizon who knows how many more times he will fail to die from a shot to the head in future? The headshot scene in X2 is one of my favourite scenes in all of comic book films just because it is so bad-ass. After the Xavier Institute is raided by Stryker and his soldiers, Wolverine, Rogue, Iceman and Pyro escape and wind up at Iceman's parents' house. Turncoat, Pyro, who is gradually turning to the dark side, shops them to the police from inside the house and they wind up in a standoff with the local authorities. With six massive blades protruding from his knuckles Wolverine is not exactly inconspicuous at this point and when tries to explain to one of the cops that he can't put "the knives" down he gets blasted in the head. But he is only down for a few moments before a very quick recovery. Wolverine is pretty-much indestructible and I knew this before watching, but I remember this scene still shocked me the first time I saw it and it is particularly immersive because his brief "death" leaves a trio of young and untrained mutant students unguarded, bringing a vulnerability to the scene that isn't usually possible with Logan in it. In the later, but chronologically earlier X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he survives a headshot yet again, from an adamantium bullet this time, cementing his place as one of the hardest characters of all time.
