5 Movies Whose Plots No Longer Work Due to Technological Advances

Dustin Hoffman is in over his head as a struggling actor forced to dress in drag in order to find work. Once he becomes so popular that his contract with a soap opera is extended for a year, he needs to find a way out. A golden opportunity comes when a crewmember spills a sticky substance on some videotape resulting in a live broadcast of a key scene. He promptly tears off his wig and his career as a woman is over. Now that virtually all TV shows are recorded digitally, there is no need for scenes to be broadcast live. Hoffman could still unmask himself but it would have nowhere near the impact it did in front of a live audience. Plus we wouldn€™t have gotten the classic Bill Murray line, €œThat is one nutty hospital!€

I am a fan of film, Doctor Who (and sci-fi in general), fantasy, the adventure genre of gaming (the Myst series in particular), making lists and caesar salad.
