5 Reasons DC Universe vs Masters Of The Universe Should Be Turned Into A Film

5. To Take Advantage Of The Age Of Comic Book Movies

Live Action Heroes When else could such a ridiculous concept be seen as a truly realistic cinematic endeavour? He-Man isn't really a superhero in what we've come to consider as "the traditional sense" of the term (he's not, for example, patrolling cities in Lycra or flying around at the speed of light), but he is indeed a hero. With that in mind, it could be considered a risk to use him in a standalone movie, given the unique nature of the character, so to put him on screen alongside the likes of Superman and Batman in the age of the comic book movie would alleviate that concern. Recently, we've had a positive surge in the number of movies with heroic male protagonists, ranging from the traditional iconic superhero archtype (the likes of Spider-Man, Superman, Thor, Green Lantern, Hulk and Batman) to all kinds of other heroic and anti-heroic males (the likes of Conan the Barbarian, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Punisher and Jack Reacher), and there are many more on the way. Could He-Man fit in? Why the hell not. He's kind of a cross between Thor and Conan in some ways. I think now is the ideal time to put him in a movie and the sheer magnitude of having him alongside his team-mates fighting against the greatest superheroes and villains from the DC universe is too good an opportunity to miss. Exploit the trend, Hollywood!
