4. A Masters Of The Universe Movie Has Been Touted For Years
A Masters of the Universe movie has indeed been rumoured and on the cards for years, so what better way to finally bring it to the big screen again? In 2012, rumours were rife that talks were ongoing about the possibility of there being a movie in the (then) immediate pipeline, with Jon Chu having been in talks to direct it. However, since then, it's all gone a little quiet on that front the possibility of such a movie seemingly getting less and less likely with every passing moment. But we want one, right?! Nothing would please us 80s kids more than a modernisation of our beloved franchise. And it would also be pretty cool to introduce a new audience to a big screen version of the man from Eternia. After all, the latest series of He-Man cartoons just weren't in the same league as the old Filmation spectacle we grew up with back in the day. Dolph Lundgren's previous live action interpretation of the character was pretty terrible, all things considered, with key factors like Prince Adam, Eternia, Battle Cat and Orko notably missing from the movie. So why not get it right now? And why not alongside characters who are already firmly established on the big screen? This is an ideal opportunity that DC and Warner Brothers should be jumping on as soon as possible.
