5 Reasons Dirty Harry 6 Is Still A Good Idea

1. Bring Back Macho Cinema

Dirty Harry Cinema has lost the macho edge it had back in the 80s. Back when Rocky and Rambo ran the multiplexes, there were stories about patriotism, good vs. evil and troubled, but good men finding the strength to overcome evil for the right reasons. These stories are still told. The problem is that they are told by the same people who are now pushing 70. Stories are getting bigger and bigger as special effects dominate the screen and the world seems to be at stake every week. It'd be nice to see a franchise like Dirty Harry come back and be able to inspire a new generation of filmmakers to revisit the smaller and grittier stories that people now mostly and wrongly view as mindless, macho cinema. Dirty Harry is practically the poster boy for macho cinema as his lines about punks and making of days still ring through the ears of young men today. Perhaps today we need a little more macho cinema as it is becoming tiring watching superheroes save the whole world again and again and again. Dirty Harry 6 could be a return of the smaller stories of good vs. evil, the complex sagas of men doing what's right because there just ain't no one else around to do it. At the end of the day, I just want another Dirty Harry movie. Remember to sound off in the comments below and tell us whether you think old man Eastwood could still rock another Dirty Harry picture or whether that's a bunch of hogwash!
