5 Reasons Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit Isn't Just The Usual January Trash

1. Verdict

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit may be a less serious and not as grounded in reality reboot for a franchise - that with each film - seemingly made its premises and threats feel plausible to the real world, but it€™s a relatively exciting movie to take in during a time period where most of the releases are simply awful. This offers up some formulaic yet fun thrills and is essentially the best you€™re going to get as far as January flicks go. Chris Pine most certainly has Star Trek going for him but also may have another starring franchise on his hands here. If there is a sequel, it just might be a logical improvement to write a villain that isn€™t a stereotypical brain-dead clown, and to explore smarter and more fluid ways to involve Cathy in the story without relocating her to a vulnerable damsel in distress. Other than that, it€™s a decent reboot with promise. 2b402fc2 869c 4f86 9843 A68e9b7b91b8 Have you seen Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit? Tell us what you thought about it below!
