5 Reasons Mark Ruffalo's Hulk Should Get His Own Movie

1. Mark Ruffalo IS Bruce Banner

ruffalo Really, this guy is the only reason you need why he should get a chance to star in a solo Hulk film. All due respect to Eric Bana and Edward Norton, I really enjoyed both their performances as Bruce Banner. But both of them lacked something. Bana took the mild mannered scientist bit too far and Norton€™s depiction seemed more like Norton than Bruce Banner. But Ruffalo brought so much more to the role. He fully stepped into that character. In addition to the paranoia aspect of being on the run and his intelligence, Ruffalo also brought out the selflessness of the character and his willingness to risk capture if it meant helping others. He€™s also got a marvelous deadpan sense of humor that helps the character resonate in a way that neither Bana nor Norton could accomplish. And there€™s his statement in The Avengers right before he transforms into the Hulk: €œThat€™s my secret, Cap. I€™m always angry.€ I€™d like to see that explored in a bit more depth. Banner has gained control over the Hulk a few times in the comics, and seeing that play out on the big screen would be a welcome change to just running from the military. Where would Ruffalo€™s Banner be at the start of a new Hulk movie? We know from Iron Man 3 that he still keeps in touch with Tony Stark, might he be doing some work for Stark Industries? And what about the multiple personalities of Bruce Banner? Could Ruffalo pull that off? I personally think he can and I€™d love to see how he tackles it. Set up Ruffalo with a great supporting cast, throw him up against the Leader, and possibly do a little bit more with the Hulk€™s changing personalities, and we€™d have a very unique superhero movie.
