5 Reasons To Look FORWARD To A Post-Endgame MCU

1. An Eventual Comeback

Due to the inexhaustible evidence found in comics, and more recently, the theatrical evidence provided by the Justice League movie, resurrections of iconic characters can be met with just as much criticism as praise.

As such, the idea of resurrecting a character that has died on screen removes the initial punch of their death and can diminish some of the events that occurred post mortem.

However, if any of the original Avengers end up retiring from their key roles using a means other than death, there remains an opportunity for an eventual return.

Emphasis on "eventual", as such a return would be a highly-anticipated event on either side of the screen. The pure spectacle of an original Avenger returning to the MCU would be, of course, something that would need to be prompted by a world-ending threat, but in itself this creates an unprecedented event. in every respect.

We viewers just need to cross our fingers and hope that Endgame leaves us with some of the old-guard still standing, so the transition period isn't too jarring.
