5 Reasons Why Captain America Won't Die In Civil War
5. Chris Evans Doesn't Want To Leave Anymore
One of the biggest reasons everyone seems to think Captain America isn't long for the MCU coil is that his actor hasn't exactly seemed keen to stick around; Chris Evans was very reluctant to take on the role in the first place and throughout his avenging has repeatedly stated his plans to ditch mainstream acting and make his own movies. But there was also a time when Sony said they would never share Spider-Man with Marvel. Opinions change, and that's definitely what seems to have happened to Cap. Listening to a post-Age Of Ultron Evans, the picture is very different to a few years previous; he seems incredibly happy as Steve Rogers and has stopped making allusions about prematurely jumping ship. That may sound like a sudden change of heart, but remember that he joined Marvel before it was bought up by Disney and became the box office and critical powerhouse it is now - there's now a security with the studio few actors can achieve elsewhere. With the actor now keen to stick about and at the very least finish his contract up to Infinity War (if not extend it on a movie-by-movie basis, Downey, Jr. style), it seems unlikely he'll be bumped off; turns one of the biggest behind-the-scenes arguments for Cap's death is years-old hot air.
