2. Nobody Wants Another Resurrection

One of the biggest get arounds of all the previous points is that Marvel can still have their Captain America funeral cake and eat it by killing off Steve Rogers, only to bring him back later on (probably in one of the two-part Avengers: Infinity War extravaganzas). When you're dealing with the Infinity Gemstones, anything's possible, right? But do you want that? Really? Loki, Coulson, Pepper Potts, Nick Fury, Loki again, Groot - Marvel have done the death fake-out to, well, death. And while it'd be something more narratively important like the 'death' of Bucky in The First Avenger rather than just a desperate attempt to artificially create emotion, killing off Captain America with the clear plan of bringing him back is still a guaranteed way to piss off fans. Especially when, if the studio tried to keep it a secret, it'd inevitably be spoiled by the leak hounds. This would be, of course, kinda what happens in the comics; after being killed in the epilogue of Civil War, Cap is resurrected by way of time travel bullets and fights with Red Skull's soul. So, despite the fact that people rarely focus on that (again, time travel bullets and fights with Red Skull's soul), that would seem to point to it being a distinct possibility. However, it's not exactly like Marvel are known for following the comics faithfully...
