5 Reasons Why Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom Is Underrated

3. The Rope Bridge Scene

Indiana Jones Temple Of Doom
Lucasfilm Ltd.

Put simply the rope bridge scene at the climax of Temple is one of the most inventive and exciting scenes in the entire series.

It allows Indy to display some of the characteristics we have discussed before. With his enemies closing in and all hope seemingly lost, Indy pulls one of his many tricks out of the bag and cuts the main rope holding the bridge up.

The image of Indy, sword raised, snarling his 'prepare to meet Kali' line is iconic. No matter how insane his enemies are, he's just that bit crazier. As resourceful as he is, he gets by mostly on courage and luck, and that's why we love him.
