4. The Humor
Whilst I would agree that the tone and themes of course Kick-Ass 2 were a lot darker than the original. There was still plenty of humor and fun to be had in this film. Also unlike the first film where the jokes mainly came from Hit-Girl cracking wise, we had our other characters chalk up their own zingers. Colonel Stars and Stripes was a joy to watch and provided a few belly laugh moments. Kick-Ass was of course also in on the action with his own brand of awkward goofyness. Even our villain was more fun in this film. However, it has to be said that if the villain is going to call himself The Motherf**ker he cant really be expected to be a serious villain. One instance involving The Motherf**ker and Kick-Ass' girlfriend was a particular highlight. Maybe it was the darker tones in this film that ultimately led to people not enjoying it. If you thought the film was dark just read the comic and your mind will be blown.
