5 Reasons Why The Avengers Is Better Than The Dark Knight Rises

1. The Avengers Has A Hulk

Do any of you have a favourite Avengers character that isn't Hulk? Mark Ruffalo's big green smashing machine is the heart and soul of the group and of the movie itself. There was uncertainty as to how well Ruffalo would pull off the role but by God he absolutely nails it. Hulk Vs Thor, Hulk Vs Loki, Hulk Vs himself ... he steals every scene he's in and unlike every other cinematic portrayal of his character Hulk actually has a personality and can be reasoned with which is integral to his participation in the group. Why would they want Hulk if he's such a loose cannon? Enough of Banner shines through in his persona to warrant his inclusion, at least in the early stages of the super groups existence. Counter Argument: The Dark Knight Rises has a Bane. Unlike Hulk, Bane is a cold, calculated sociopath and he's always in bad ass mode. The Dark Knight Rises also has an exploding football field, Anne Hathaway in leathers (hubba hubba) and a fusion bomb! And let's not forget The Joker - the greatest comic book villain of all time. So there you have it. Let the floodgates open and let the arguments begin once again. Have your say below and tell us exactly why we're completely bonkers thinking Avengers is anywhere near as good as Batman.
