5 Reasons Why You Must See Elysium

1. It Is Rated R

elysium2 Hollywood has watered itself down and considerably puts our more PG-13 films yearly. It€™s a simple answer why, (PG-13 offers the most potentially financially successful method) - I just hate the logic. We are being fed more approachable concepts weekly which are subsequently lowering the integrity and intelligence of some films. A Robocop reboot is in production under PG-13 guidelines for mainstream mass appeal. If you have seen Robocop it is obvious why this is unacceptable from a violence standpoint but Robocop was also brilliant satire too. All of the issues depicted in Detroit still exist to this day. The reboot is only concerned with tossing up special effects and action sequences that entice audiences to fork over their hard earned cash. If that interests you, fine, but movies like Elysium are a dying breed and deserve support. Action films can simultaneously tell gripping stories full of mature subject material. They will completely die off though if we don€™t support them, especially the ones crafted with passion like Elysium. Make Elysium- an R rated blockbuster with a story and $100 million budget- a financial success and send Hollywood a message that we are tired of being treated like idiots. Have you seen Elysium?
