2. You Can Stay In The Comfort Of Your Own Home
Don't get me wrong, I love the experience of watching a movie on the big screen as much as anyone, but sitting in the comfort of my own home for Beasts of No Nation was a real treat. There were no people behind me talking, no fat guy a few seats away rustling a bag of popcorn like he hadn't eaten in a week, and definitely no glaring phone screen from those in the seats in front (despite the cinema being nearly empty). While Batman v Superman is almost certainly a movie which will be worth watching on an IMAX screen, why battle for tickets on opening day to sit in a crowded cinema when you can just enjoy Daredevil from home? Providing you have a good enough internet connection and TV, the thought of enjoying Daredevil on a 50" 4K TV is infinitely more appealing than having Batman v Superman ruined by idiots like the ones mentioned above. Batman v Superman on the other hand is better off saved for the following weekend or a matinee performance during the week when there's a slightly better chance of not having the experience spoiled.
