You guessed it! Although this wouldnt technically be a part of The Amazing Spider-Man trilogy, getting the latest film incarnation of the character into the Avengers team for their next ensemble movie would certainly whet the appetites of anyone who felt the original films line-up were lacklustre. Sony Pictures did apparently try to get the Oscorp building into the New York skyline for Avengers Assemble, and despite this not being possible due to a lack of time for the production team, it bodes well for the distribution companys relationship with Disney and Marvel Studios that they may be willing to let their most popular superhero cross franchises to a different handler. Its hard to put into words how exciting it would be to see Andrew Garfield stand up alongside Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L Jackson and the rest of the gang in the confirmed Avengers sequel in 2015, and although it may be wishful thinking, if that were ever made possible then we could quite possibly get a link to the follow-up in The Amazing Spider-Man 2! Heres hoping that well see a certain something special in the next post-credits sequence Either way, it should be very interesting to see how this promising rebooted series develops over the next few years, and given the strong foundations of the first film it seems that no matter what the storyline, were in for one heck of a ride!
