Adam Sandler voices Dracula in Sony's most successful animation of recent times, Hotel Transylvania. Since they opened their doors a decade ago, only The Smurfs and Hotel Transylvania 2 have taken more at the box office worldwide. With a third outing slated for both franchises, Sony's success shows no signs of slowing down, although The Emoji Movie due out in 2017 could be their first bump in the road. Additional comedy turns come courtesy of Fran Drescher, Kevin James, Jon Lovitz, Steve Buscemi, Chris Parnell, Molly Shannon and Andy Samberg. But what separates it from all the other big-screen animations front-loaded with famous names? This one's genuinely funny. Partly written by Peter Baynham, whose previous work includes The Day Today, I'm Alan Partridge, Brass Eye and the more family friendly Arthur Christmas, Sony put their blood-thirst protagonist in safe hands.
