2. Family

In the alternate Old Man Logan future, Wolverine has a family. He has a wife and children that get brutally murdered and left on his doorstep, so it's not exactly a happy ending.

Wolverine spends the entire story trying to protect his family and at the end, takes to raising the baby Hulk, Bruce Banner Jr.

While a literal family probably won't be seen in this movie, Laura will likely fill in that roll for the story. She is of course also known as X-23, the 23rd attempted clone of Wolverine. In the trailer she looks to be around 10 years old and Wolverine will likely be her father figure. Wolverine also will have to deal with the declining health of Xavier, who acted as a surrogate father to him throughout the movie franchise.

Even without a wife and children, protecting his surrogate family will be a theme that runs throughout the film.
