Given that Wolverine was born in the 1800's, his age is finally starting to catch up with him. This also results in a slowing healing factor, which has been confirmed by director James Mangold, as Wolverine is shown to now have scars left behind.

It will be interesting to see if Wolverine has taken his vow of nonviolence towards the beginning of the movie. In the Old Man Logan comic, he refused to participate in any kind of violence until the arc had almost finished. Given that the Red Band trailer shows Wolverine stabbing someone through the brain, it doesn't look like any kind of vow of nonviolence will stick in this movie.
