2. Courtney Love Wanted More Children With Kurt But Used Heroin While Pregnant
Courtney Love was already pregnant when the pair got married, and both Kurt and Courtney wanted to make a family as fast as possible, in an effort to fill a void which they both felt. Courtney also states that if she had been given more time with Kurt, then she would have had more kids with him, and the footage shown in the documentary shows both Kurt and Courtney as good parents, albeit quite strung-out and at times, visibly shaking. Whilst it was heavily speculated in the media at the time that Courtney Love had taken heroin during pregnancy, the interview from Montage of Heck gives an apparently honest insight into the mind of Courtney Love. Both Kurt and Courtney, as she explains, were using heroin a lot, including after Love had fell pregnant with their daughter, Frances. I did do heroin while I was pregnant, but then I stopped, explains Love in her one on one interview, I knew she would be fine. Seemingly, Courtney Love didnt consider her drug-use during pregnancy to be greatly significant, and her interview is perhaps indicative of the pairs irresponsible lifestyle of the time.
