5 Times Nicolas Cage's Film Meltdowns Worked (And 5 Times They Didn't)

6. Bad: Easy As ABC (Vampire's Kiss, 1988)

Best Line: "Ha! And you call yourself a psychiatrist!"

Where to begin with Vampire's Kiss? The plot alone is Cage bait as it focuses around Peter, a New Yorker, whose only passions in life are making money and sleeping with as many women as possible. After taking Rachel (Jennifer Beals) home one night, she bites him on the neck during their game of rough and tumble and Peter is now convinced he is a vampire and starts wearing fangs, following women and avoiding garlic. You know, vampire stuff.

If, by some freak occurrence, you meet anyone who has never heard of Nicolas Cage, this is the movie you show them. It is full of classic Cage over and underacting and is immensely quotable.

The scene that shines through is where Peter visits his psychiatrist and is frustrated over his information being misfiled. To the shock of the shrink, Cage blasts her for her office's incompetence and screams the ABCs like a fed up nursery teacher after a long week. He then does an incredible impression of a sulky teenager: crossing arms, stomping, and shouting his head off. Classic Cage.
