5 Upcoming Literature-Based Movies We Can't Wait To See

4. Kill Your Darlings

Wouldn't it be grand to see three of America's best 20th century writers in the same place at the same time? Well, Kill Your Darlings is as close as you're gonna get. It's the semi-biographical story of the beat generation's aficionados William Burroughs, Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg, who were all brought together by a murder that occurred in 1944. It looks like it's simply dripping with cool and literary smoothness - but do you know what's really weird about this one? Harry Potter's in it. Well, Daniel Radcliffe is in it, which is pretty much the same thing. But luckily for us the trailer seems to indicate that Harry/Daniel won't be quite as wooden as usual, and no wands or guys without a nose will be involved at all. Even though this film has technically already been released in a select few cinemas in the UK, most of us are yet to see it. But overall good reviews from critics mean that we're excited to see what Radcliffe has in store. Let's hope it's worth it.
