3. Black Cat
Despite the inevitable comparisons to Catwoman, Black Cat would make a fantastic addition to the next Spider-Man film. The addition of Felicia Hardy would make for a very nice love triangle to complicate Peter's relationship with Gwen and would be more interesting than re-introducing Mary Jane. A rich socialite whose father was once the infamous cat burglar known as The Cat, Felicia eventually decided to follow in her father's footsteps and become a thief herself. And if the filmmakers used the Black Cat's storyline from the 90's cartoon show, it would give them the opportunity to connect Spider-Man with the Avengers. In that version, The Cat had been hired by the Nazi's to infiltrate the super-soldier program that birthed Captain America and memorize the formula. However, upon realizing who he was working for, he fled to save his life. Years later, he is imprisoned by S.H.I.E.L.D. only to be freed by the Kingpin, who forces him to use Felicia as a guinea pig to test a modified version of the super-soldier serum, turning her into the Black Cat. This version could also link Hardy's past to the Parker's disappearance and once Black Cat and Spider-Man come to a truce, they could team up to find the truth of what happened to both of their parents.
Suggested Actress: Dianna Agron Who better to play a young socialite competing with Gwen Stacy for Peter Parker's affections? While we've had younger heroes, the villains are usually older. Making the Black Cat younger could give her a nice edge and keep the Catwoman comparisons at bay. Agron is a talented young actress who has shown her flexibility and physical prowess off often in Glee. And let's not forget the potential for a Dianna Agron/Emma Stone cat fight. Meow!
