1. The Director
All the signs are pointing towards Zack Snyder diretcing the Justice League movie. It's almost like the Superman/Batman film will be the second part in his audition to do it. He impressed with the first part in Man of Steel, and now it seems that Warner Bros. are seeing if Snyder can make their two biggest characters work together on the big screen. If he can, that's practically half the battle in making a JLA film work altogether. While I'm fine with Zack Snyder as the most likely choice, I do have my little worries. As everyone knows, Snyder's strong point is his passion for style and visuals over substance. I thought he did a fine job with Man of Steel, delivering a solid story alongside all that style, but not everyone agreed. Snyder has shown in previous films he can be a little reckless when it comes to favoring SFX over story. This seems to be only the case with films he writes himself, so as long David Goyer returns to write the script (which he is), my fears will be allayed for now. He must ensure he pays full attention to the story in the JLA film though, maybe even more so than he did with Man Of Steel. He must give everyone their own special moments in the film to make us truly care about them. Fans of these characters will not want to see anyone take a back seat. Joss Whedon, whose known strengths are his ensemble pieces, even stated that it was a very difficult task in balancing all The Avengers characters. So, let's all hope Snyder or whoever it is can give us something to make Marvel truly sweat. What are you hoping to see in the JLA movie? Let us know in the comments below.
