5 WTF Adult Moments In Kids Movies You Totally Missed

1. The Rescuers - Something Went Tits-Up

Rescuers_Topless_Woman The Rescuers is not the film most would think of when someone says the word Disney. It falls somewhere to back of the queue in terms of overall popularity, compared to others like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin, The Jungle Book etc. But it's still a damn fine movie, sweet and heroic and OH MY GOD THERE ARE BOOBS IN THIS PICTURE!! BOOBS! That's right. This is another one that has gained a reputation over the years. If you haven't heard this story it's a doozy (word of the day right there). In 1999, 22 years after the movie was released, Disney announced a recall of the VHS tapes of The Rescuers, citing a "objectionable background image", (not that I'd raise an objection to it, mind you). In the scene where our heroes Bianca and Bernard fly atop an albatross in a sardine can, they whizz past various buildings. And in one of the windows is a naked lady. An honest-to-God busty lass who is letting it all hang out. And there's no denying it, unlike the aforementioned Aladdin and Lion King escapades that can be chalked down to interpretation. This is as clear as a slap in the face with a salmon, and just as fishy. Apparently, in post-production, the offending (or not depending on your questionable morals) image was inserted just for the lulz. Someone somewhere knew that one day we'd have the internet, and they just wanted to make sure they would be a notorious point of discussion for some time. And good for them! Which is why my attempts to infiltrate various editing suites in London is going rather smoothly thanks. There are many more risque moments in kids entertainment, including TV. Rocko's Modern Life, Animaniacs, Cow and Chicken and countless others are well-documented double-entendre deviants. What are your favourite jokes that you only now appreciate? Sound off in the comments below. And until next time, good teenagers take off your clothes!
