Neill Blomkamp's last film, Elysium, may not have quite lived up to his brilliant debut District 9, but it still boasted plenty of imagination and some gorgeous effects. His third film, Chappie, revolves around the titular robot (voiced by Sharlto Copley), which has a child-like fascination with the world and an ability to feel and learn about it. However, he eventually ends up in the hands of gangsters, while the mysterious, mulleted technophobe Vincent (Hugh Jackman) wants to take him out once and for all. With a decidedly more family-friendly tone than either of his previous movies, Blomkamp could be onto a sleeper hit here, though it depends whether kids in particular will connect with the charming boy-in-a-bot conceit. As expected, the visuals look immense. Release Date: March 6th
