50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2015 - Ranked

1. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Let's face it: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens could be a pile of hot garbage and it's still going to clear $1bn at the box office, minimum. If on the off-chance it even half-way lives up to the original trilogy (or simply betters all the prequels, not exactly a tall order, mind), then the sky's the limit. J.J. Abrams has plenty of experience in this arena and is a canny choice to steer Star Wars back in the right direction, while the cast is immense, including relative newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley alongside the established likes of Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie. Of course, old faithfuls Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis are all back, too. The first teaser trailer that dropped a few weeks ago blew the roof off the Internet, and has plenty excited that Abrams is going to deliver the best Star Wars movie in over 30 years. A year from now, all the answers will be revealed. What a painfully long year it's going to be. Which film are you most looking forward to next year? Is it somehow not Star Wars? Shout it out in the comments!
